Gallo Reference Strada Speakers and TR-3 Subwoofers

Anthony Gallo Acoustics has been developing and improving their spherical loudspeakers for more than 20 years. The new $1,998 per pair Reference Strada is the next generation, following the company’s very well received Reference 3.1 . The CDT3 tweeter is the exact same unit which is used in the new $5,995 Reference 3.5, and the dual 5” drivers with neodymium magnets are also found in the 3.5.

VPI Classic Turntable

VPI introduced the Classic Turntable to mark the occasion of their 30th anniversary. Since this turntable was auditioned earlier this past summer, a Classic 2 and Classic 3 have been announced.

YG Acoustics Kipod Main Modules Speakers

The YG Acoustics Kipod Main Modules Speakers have been my reference speakers for over a year and I am just now writing about them. Bryston 3B SST2, 4B SST2 and 7B SST2 Power Amplifiers

Weiss DAC2 Digital-to-Analog Converter

The Weiss DAC2 benefits from the experience and technology of the well-received Minerva digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The DAC2 is distributed in the US by Vintage King Audio, a well know dealer of pro audio equipment. At a list price of $2995, it has fewer features, but the same audio and digital circuits, as the $5000 Minerva which the DAC2 has replaced.

Audience Adept Response aR2p-TO Power Conditioner

The Audience Adept Response aR2p-TO High Resolution Power Conditioner is the latest in a product line of well received power conditioners which are priced from $695 to $8,600. The $1,600 aR2p-TO model differs from the basic $695 aR2p in its use of expensive Teflon-dielectric "Aura-T" capacitors with OHNO (mono crystal, oxygen-free) copper leads. I did not experience the basic non-Teflon equipped model.
